Felix Pfäffli is a swiss graphic designer, illustrator, teacher based in Lucerne. Felix was born in 1986. In 2010 he graduated at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and started his own studio «Feixen». In 2010 he began his collaboration with the cultural Center «Südpol». The widely spreaded poster series for this venue can be understood as the core of his work. In contrast to conventional series no strict corporate design is pursued. Each work is based on its own rules and addresses the medium poster in a new way. To date he created over eighty posters describing the rich history of the local culture. In the summer of 2011 he was appointed as teacher at the Lucerne School of Graphic Design «Fachklasse Grafik» to teach in the fields of typography, generated design and especially poster design. He has also led numerous creative workshops locally and internationally and conducted lectures at various schools and festivals such as the «Integrated» International Art and Design Conference in Antwerp, the «Design Week» at the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles or the PaTI in Seoul.His work has been published on a variety of poster festivals, magazines, and exhibitions around the world and recieved several awards like the China Poster Biennial Top Prize (2014), Tokyo Type Director’s Club Prize (2013) and the Swiss Poster Award (2013).Since 2013 he is a member of the AGI (Alliance Graphique International).
