Saima ZAIDI
PAKİSTAN

Saima Zaidi, a communication designer, studied at the National College of Arts, Lahore, and the Pratt Institute, New York. She is Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Communication Studies and Design at the Habib University, Karachi. She has been teaching history and concepts of design, as well as typography and editorial design at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi, Karachi.


Zaidi has researched, edited and designed the book titled 'Mazaar, Bazaar: Design and Visual Culture in Pakistan' published by Oxford University Press, Karachi, in collaboration with the Prince Claus Fund Library, Amsterdam. Her recent design projects include the book design for 'Manto Centenary: 1912-2012' (Sange Meel Publications) and the design and image selection for 'The Beloved City' edited by Bapsi Sidhwa (OUP, 2012).
